Type locality: Abercorn N.R. [= Mbala], Lucheche River, Zambia
Diagnosis
Male is similar to some Neodythemis species by (a) Fw discoidal field of 1 cell-row at base but widens distally, 2-3 rows proximal to node, 4-11 cells wide on wing border; (b) anal loop of 3-6 (rather than 7-15) cells, only rarely up to 8. However, is set apart by (1) ranging from N Zambia to Katanga; (2) labrum pale rather than black, with black border; (3) black markings along metapleural suture interrupted; (4) Abd becomes pruinose with age. Habitat description
Streams shaded by gallery forest. Probably often with blackwater, coarse detritus and a sandy bottom. From 1200 to 1900 m above sea level.
